  1. Anatomy Trap: The gallbladder is a storage pouch, not a flow-through tube like the kidney. There is no direct way to "flush" the stone out.

  2. Risk of Slipping: If we try to break or dissolve the stones, smaller pieces can slip into the Common Bile Duct (CBD). This blocks the liver and pancreas, causing Jaundice or Pancreatitis—both of which are life-threatening conditions.

When Should You Be Worried? (Symptoms)

Some stones are "silent," but they don't stay that way forever. Watch out for:

  • Sudden, intense pain in the upper right abdomen, especially after eating fried or fatty food (Cholecystitis).

  • Pain radiating to the back or right shoulder blade.

  • Nausea or vomiting.

  • Indigestion and bloating (gas).
